Fausto Felix is a dancer, choreographer, director, instructor, and model. When he initially learned about dance, he committed himself to learning and studying many forms of dance and movement including Dominican Folk, Salsa, Hip Hop, Merengue and Bachata to name a few. Born to Dominican parents, Fausto is the product of New York’s Boogie Down Bronx.

Fausto has trained closely with one of the best known folklorists of the Dominican Republic and the United States, Leonardo Ivan Dominquez. Fausto was in one of the most prestigious salsa/mambo companies in New York City, the great Santo Rico Dance Company led by its director/dancer/choreographer Tomas Guerrero - a pioneer in the international mambo scene. Fausto has also trained closely with Salsa World Champion Anya Katsevman, Nelson Flores, Billy Fajardo, Tito Ortos, & Tamara livolsi, to name a few. Fausto’s teaching has focused on the history of dances in Dominican Folk, Salsa, and Hip Hop, which he has spread throughout the world promoting the true art, culture, and essence of these dances.

In an effort to establish the art of Salsa and Bachata as a legitimate professional dance genre, Fausto has sharpened his technical repertoire and decorated his dancing career with competition titles such as World Salsa Summit Champion, San Fransisco Salsa Champion and New York Salsa Champion. He has infiltrated the commercial dance world by dancing alongside mainstream artists such as Maite Perroni and Luis Vargas. He most recently performed at the world famous Madison Square Garden and Premios Juventud.

Not taking this gift for granted, his experience in dancing allows him to constantly reinvent himself and reach untapped markets through education; often collaborating with professionals around the world and teaching workshops at public schools, universities, community centers and well-known dance education facilities. Fausto believes dance is for all ages: from children to adults and children at heart, from a novice to the most experienced performer. Persistence, dedication, and mentoring has allowed him not only to do what he loves, but also to foster the ability to constantly use his creativity. Anyone who sees him move feels not only his immense energy, but his genuine enthusiasm for the art.
